Ever stepped into a bathroom with one of those infrared heaters and felt like you were staring directly into the sun? It’s a common problem. Most of these units use short-wave infrared lamps to get you warm instantly, but that blinding glare is a nightmare—especially if you’re bathing a baby or just waking up and your eyes aren’t ready for a light show. This makes sure the heat actually hits you instead of just warming up your ceiling. The honest trade-offs Here’s the thing: when you mute the glare to protect your eyes, you lose some of that “bright white” light. If you were hoping the heater would also be the main light for your bathroom, it won’t be enough. You’ll want to pair these with some separate LEDs to get the lighting just right. And since we’re talking about electricity and water, we don’t mess around with the wiring. We use high-temp silicone wires so the connections don’t fry after a few months of heating up and cooling down. It’s a simple choice that keeps everything safe and reliable for the long haul.
